(Our Story)

Aloha! My name is Yaneth, Owner, Baker & Events Director for Hula Cakes. 

After losing my job in March 2020 due to Covid -19, I was wondering what to do with the newfound time during the pandemic.

With a request from a friend to make a birthday cake in addition to a few other cake orders,  I soon began spending my time baking. I was amazed that cake orders kept coming in and the extra money was very helpful.

I simply thought I would bake till another job opportunity came along but as one month led into another,  I was still unemployed and staying busy filling cake orders. In addition, I found myself in love with baking again. As the months past, I pondered if I should leverage my love for baking into a business? I wasn't sure if starting up a business during a pandemic would be the ideal thing to do. I figured this could be an opportunity for me to re-brand and reestablish a cake business I started in 2012. You see I actually baked and sold my cakes years prior,... 

Which leads me to the sweet beginnings.
